How Our Laser Differs
Laser Hair Removal Preparation:

Hair should be shaved the night before or the morning of the procedure
-
Do not pluck or wax 4 weeks prior to your appointment as pigment is required in the hair follicle for the laser to identify the hair and treatment to be effective

Avoid exposing the treated area to direct sunlight for minimum 2-4 weeks prior to your treatment and always protect the skin with sunscreen
-
Please do not consume alcohol 24 hours prior to procedure as this may thin your blood and increase the risk of bruising and poor healing
-
If you have a history of cold sores, please let the Nurse know. You may need to be on anti-viral medication prior to treatment
-
Allow self-tanning products to fade 2 weeks prior
-
Clean off any makeup, deodorant, dirt and moisturiser prior to attending your appointment

Laser Hair Removal Aftercare:
-
Refrain from hot showers, exercise, harsh cleaners and exfoliants for the next 48 hours

Only apply post treatment cream that is advised by your health provider
-
The treatment area should feel warm and tender for the next two days
-
Keep clothing from rubbing the treated area and avoid other irritation to the area
-
Do not use hairspray on or around the treated area
-
Notify the clinic should you have any prolonged redness, excessive puffiness, or other unusual side effects
-
There will be redness, and occasionally, mild blistering of the treated areas lasting for several hours to 3 days
-
The pigmented areas might “crust” or “flake.” This should resolve within 7-10 days
-
Avoid sun exposure and wear sun block daily (physical SPF preferred)/hat.

Avoid chemical peels, microdermabrasion and vitamin A
-
Mineral make up may be applied on the second day
